This piece began with an old photograph found at a flea market. We were immediately drawn to the image, particularly to the figure with its head sewn shut, an unexpected detail that instantly evoked the raw and unconventional spirit of rock and punk culture.
Rather than restoring, retouching or cleaning up the image, we chose to preserve the photograph exactly as we found it. Its imperfections, marks, grain and signs of age remain visible, allowing the passage of time and the physical history of the original photograph to become part of the design.
The photograph is combined with the sound wave graphic developed for this collection, creating a dialogue between image, sound and distortion. "NOISE HAS NO ID" acts as both a statement and a manifesto, open to interpretation and faithful to the irreverent, anonymous and rebellious spirit of rock and punk.
